Politically Incorrect Item ID: #443The Bible of Unspeakable TruthsProduct Information:
Item DescriptionWith an irreverent voice, incredible wit, and a firm take on just about everything, The Bible for Unspeakable Truth is a manual for how to think about stuff, by a guy who has thought about precisely that same stuff. Greg Gutfeld, the acclaimed host of the popular, nightly Fox News show Red Eye, has packed this book full of his most aggressive (and funny) diatribes — each chapter exploring Unspeakable Truths that cut right to the core and go well beyond just politics. Even if you disagree with Greg, this book will make you laugh–guaranteed. Greg deconstructs pop culture, media, kids, disease, race, food, sex, celebrity, current events, and nearly every other aspect of life, with Truths including but not limited to : “if you’re over 25 and still use party as a verb, then you’re beyond redemption,”"the media wanted bird flu to kill thousands,”"attractive people don’t write for a living,”"death row inmates make the best husbands,” and “the urge to punch Zach Braff in the face is completely natural.” Item Reviews5 Responses to “The Bible of Unspeakable Truths”Leave a Reply |

Typical Greg Gutfeld. Very funny & well written. Excellent read If your looking for humor.
This collection of “brain-droppings” comes from the mind (I can’t say “the pen” because it’s more of a sequence of “views sans news” than a real “book” book) of the guy behind Fox News’ wee-hours satirical program Red Eye. I’ve never seen the show but have read many of Gutfeld’s posts at Big Hollywood, and the musings printed here accurately reflect the man’s take-no-PC-prisoners, anarcho-libertarian approach to humor. He’s especially good on liberals’ hypocrisy when it comes to slamming Christians on the one hand and appeasing radical Muslims on the other. This being a blog devoted to comics, I also want to highlight his evisceration of Garry Trudeau, aka “An Untalented Sack of Poop” who’s revered because, and only because, he toes the liberal line so faithfully. (This is an exaggeration, but only a mild one. Walt Kelly was ten times the talent Trudeau is and can still be read with enjoyment by anyone today, even those who don’t agree with his politics and don’t get the contemporary references.) Everyone will find something to offend them here, but liberals and leftists will probably need to put on a Tyvek suit before plunging in.
Greg who? If you are a not a fan of Redeye, then there is something wrong with you…but you will still enjoy this book. This is a great, funny, casual read. Not many books make me laugh out loud, but you will.
Why casual? You can read it anywhere: on a plane, in a hotel, on the road, or even where it should be as welcome a fixture as a plunger…in the bathroom. The chapters/stories are short, rarely more than two pages. Even those of you with ADHD could read this entire book…eventually.
Gutfeld is one of the wittiest people on TV and his humor is unabashedly on display in The Bible of Unspeakable Truths. The best part of the book is that he agrees with me on everything. (He is a very astute person.)
Buy this book. Better still buy one for yourself and one for a friend. If you don’t have any friends, buy two anyway. It will be a good way to make friends and you need all the help you can get. (I have 3 copies so don’t feel bad.)
Carry this book wherever you go. Chicks dig Greg Gutfeld and they will be all over you. Seeing you carry this book around will make them think you are ultra cool so stop off at the drug store before you get too far carrying this book around. (wink wink) This book even beats out puppies as a chick magnet.
Very enjoyable read. Caution: This book will make you think. If you are not used to that, you may spontaneously combust. Don’t blame me.
Greg does not disappoint. As an avid fan of Red Eye, I love the humor. While the humor is a bit of an acquired taste, those who like it love it. This book is really either a hit or a miss for most people.
The book is composed into mini-essays no more than a page and a half long. Some of the titles include “Britney Spears is a Great Mom” and “Propaganda is Highly Underrated.” Greg says what everyone is thinking, but is not drunk enough to say. I encourage everyone to buy the book and make sure to watch Red Eye.
i think that greg gutfeld is very original, witty and not run of the mill. i often stay up late to catch his show “redeye” on fox and am never disappointed. his book is really a compilation of witty essays that he recites on his program daily. caution though if you mind some of his tough and usually raunchy readings you might get turned off, but stick with him and he will grow on you.
