I suppose this book might be just what some people are looking for, but I found that it went into such minute detail that I finally quit trying to read the book. I’m surprised that this book is recommended as the first one a person should read if they are a Seth beginner. I personally don’t think it is a great benefit to know the “physics” of a soul (so to speak).
I borrowed this book from the public library and had a hard time returning it, having become so attached to this amazing soul. Seth is quite dear to me! His channelled material coincides with memories of past lives, out-of-body experiences, and near-death phenomena which are reported with increasing frequency. To hear the same kinds of information from a middle-aged female channeller in the 1970s that we now hear from Deepak Chopra, Joseph Campbell, Wayne Dyer, Dr. Brian Weiss, Dr. Ian Stevenson, Dr. Jim Tucker and Carol Bowman…. it is beyond coincidence. Jane Roberts, brilliant though she was, could not have pulled this off as a hoax. An inspiring book that will eliminate the fear of death and make you curious about your dreams.
I found out about this book from a friend only three weeks ago. As I write this, I am almost finished reading it. This book is full of a lot of truth (in my opinion). Especially the parts which describe the true nature of who we really are, what life is like beyond the physical universe, etc. I was lead to this book after reading many books on Astral Projection / Out Of Body experiences. I was determined to have an out of body experience and I have now had several. I told a good friend about my experiences and he mentioned this book. I am glad that I decided to read it because it helped to to further solidify a new understanding that has been developing in me. If you’ve read about Out Of Body experiences or you’ve had them, many of the things that you’ve read or experienced ties in with the concepts in this book. This makes me think that Seth really is who he says he is. He knows how the non-physical universe works.
I feel sad about the one star reviews given for this book. I think they are mainly written by people who already have set beliefs about things and are not open-minded enough to accept anything different. They are either uncomfortable with the idea where this book came from or they pick at something in particular that Seth said. One thing to keep in mind is that Seth is not “God”. He is a “personality essence”. As such, you do not need to accept everything he says as fact. You should be able to determine on your own what is true and what isn’t true according to your own understanding. You don’t need to be afraid of what he is trying to teach. I really believe this book was written with good intentions and is well worth reading.
I really have enjoyed reading Seth Speaks. I read it first in the 1970′s when it first came out. However, all these years
have given me life experience so I can get much more out of the book today. I look forward to reading more
of Jane Roberts’ books.

ALL OF IT IS YOUR WORK…
THE TRUTH IS YOU DO CREATE REALITY OR SHOULD I SAY REALITIES. YOU ARE BUSY WORKING IN AREAS YOU ARE UNAWARE OF. PEOPLE, BEINGS AND PLACES DEPEND ON LITTLE YOU!
SO IF YOU WANT TO GET STARTED GET A FEW JANE ROBERTS BOOKS AND READ READ READ.
ONE NIGHT YOU WILL TELL YOURSELF TO “LOOK AT YOUR HANDS” WHILE DREAMING AND BE OFF ON A LIFE CHANGING ADVENTURE.
OH AND “THEY” WILL NOT LET YOU MAKE A MISTAKE. IF YOU GET OUT OF YOUR DEPTH YOU WILL BE SHOOED AWAY!
