Ann’s razor-sharp humor presents a scholarly view of the american liberal and how they should be safely handled when encountered. A perfect primer for the budding conservative.
As this book was written in 2004 and five years later the Obama team with the far left in places in our high government, their is no reason to doubt the agenda at hand. Bailouts from everything, forced healthcare, forced cap and trade and stimulus packages to no effect for the private sector, the left installs Un-American and unconstitutional practices that would make the forefathers cringe. Yes, Bush done things like that but Obama is the King of Betrayers to back stab America. Ann’s book is short and to the point so you’ll see back then and now come to play greater. Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto from Mark Levin is a very excellent book of the mindset of Obama’s crazy administration.
Conservatives, you really cannot go wrong with anything written by Ann Coulter. Unrelenting, entertaining and full of the one thing liberals hate almost as much as America (the truth), How to Talk to a Liberal is a joy to read. From page one, unfamiliar readers will get a strong sense of what Coulter’s all about. People familiar with Coulter will greatly enjoy what many of us love most about her: she doesn’t mince words. The book is a good length, consisting of a large collection of column pieces, making it very nice for light reading. It is also very cool to have a collection of her columns like this for folks who don’t have access to a newspaper that prints her column or the internet where one need only visit her website.
The long and short of it is that Coulter never disappoints. She is a consistently intelligent, witty, and most of all unapologetic. Of course liberals will hate it. They thoughtlessly throw out insults (which liberals consider valid arguments) like “fascist”, “racist”, “garbage” and even “pig vomit”. Go check out the list of all 98 tags that customers associate with this book and you’ll realize quickly the kind of maturity level common with liberals. They range from the mean to the offensive to the downright vulgar. It has been said that if you’re not making people mad then you’re not telling the truth. That is certainly the case here.
Ann Coulter is amazing. This book will keep you laughing while you receive an education on politics and other worldly facts. She is a strong, no-holds-barred writer.
While I agree with a lot of her viewpoints, the fact is Ann Coulter is one of those characters you either love or loath. While a lot of her ideas are good, she’s not going to convince anybody (especially liberals) because her writing style only allows her to preach to the choir.
Certainly if any conservative is interested in mutual understanding with the opposing side the Ann Coulter approach might not be the best one for you. However, if you want to know you’re right, how you’re right, just how much everyone else is wrong and how to relay that information and wrap it up in little strips of sarcasm then look no further!
While it can be funny and interesting there are essays that are rather dated and won’t hold much relevance. It’s good for a laugh and for the conservative there’s a lot to agree with, but this is certainly no way to talk to a liberal.
