I’ve been taking voice lessons for the past year. I can honestly say that this CD Package has helped expand my range and find that “mixed voice” I’ve been looking for. It’s simply a great product. Seth Riggs is the Best!
I read previous reviews of this product and wasn’t expecting much from it, that said I’ve actually enjoyed using this package very much. The customised lesson plan CDs are great and my singing voice has improved rapidly in a relatively short space of time following this speech level singing course. I wish this sort of material was more readily available in the UK.
I also bought the Seth Riggs “Singing for the Stars” book and CDs and found that whilst enjoying that book, I preferred the American Idol CDs version of the exercises.
This is a great starting package that I would recommend for use to anyone as a standalone product.

If you own Sing Like the Stars this is a waste. The only true “advance” is that he incorporates ascending and descending scales, which he should have done on the CDs accompanying Sing Like the Stars. The prior book is far more detailed and comprehensive. While the CDs direct you to certain exercises based on how you sound in comparison to the ideal recording, there is too little instruction/explanation to take anyone who has had prior exposure to another level. The “five secrets” to mastering a song is really one basic idea broken down into five steps. Why would a world reknowned instructor have to stoop to this level of shady salesmanship? Then again, why did I fall for it? (Never underestimate the power of hope.)
A few questions that no one at SLS has been able to answer for me (and I’ve called Mr. Riggs office as well): What is the difference between this product and the Singers Advanatage Product that does not bear the American Idol endorsement? Why are some vendors selling this product for over $100? What is the difference between this product and the “Pro Edition”? I suspect that its all the same.
